Charlotte Moore -- Director

Charlotte "Cat" Moore has been galling and frustrating Weyrfest-goers off and on since 2000. While this is her first year as Director, she served as Weyrfest's Director's Second for two years and as a regular staffer for four. This will be her seventh (!) consecutive year at Weyrfest. She received her first taste of power in 2002 as a panelist and was more or less unstoppable from then on. She plans to have completed her systematic world domination agenda sometime by 2046.

Charlotte has been a McCaffrey fan since age 12, when her seventh grade English class performed scenes from "The Smallest Dragonboy." Charlotte was assigned the part of Heth, and spent hours carefully designing and painting her paper muzzle, wings, and tail. It was the most time she had ever or would ever dedicate to a single homework assignment. She joined Pern fandom in 1997 as Catalina on PernMUSH; after that, there would always be someone, somewhere, who insisted upon calling her "Cat." It is only coincidental that she possesses an impressive set of fangs and retractable claws. She does not always land on her feet when thrown from tall buildings.

A Washington, D.C. area native, Charlotte is a 2006 graduate of a tiny liberal arts college in North Carolina, where she earned a B.A. in English and a minor in Spanish -- allowing her to nitpick spelling and mechanics in not one, but two languages. She currently resides with her boyfriend in Raleigh, where she puts her obsessive-compulsiveness and elitism to work as a proofreader and copywriter for an ad agency.

Angel Adams -- Director's Second

Angelina Adams makes her glorious return to Director's Second this year! After having spent a decade working with Weyrfest at Dragon*Con, she stepped back for a couple of years to concentrate on family and writing -- though, with the arrival of her first granddaughter in April of 2007, family has taken more time than writing. However, being apart from the friends that she only gets to see within the insanity that is D*C proved too much for her, and she was thrilled when she discovered there was room for her on staff again in 2007 (but of course there was!).

Divorced with four children ranging from grown to pre-teen, Angel finds her life to be rather chaotic but rewarding. Active in volunteering for the high school drama program, she spends what little spare time she has indulging in a rising love of photography and lost within the worlds of her own creation, which are slowly making their way into written form. She manages to pay her bills by working for the greatest boss in the world at a small family-owned real estate agency, where she handles everything from bookkeeping to marketing. Angel is very much looking forward to seeing everyone again ... and NOT being in charge.
